In addition to numerous elite athletes who are preparing for major competitions, the infrastructure is also open to recreational athletes and non-Olympic cadres from Switzerland and abroad. The training facilities are continuously updated to fit the latest requirements.

Training Camp Infrastructure St. Moritz

Athletics (Track and Field)
400-metre track with Rub-Tan-surfacing and grass track. Long jump, high jump and pole vault installation. Javelin, discus throws and shot put. On request: hammer throwing.

Vast number of running and training tracks along the lakes of the Upper Engadine, through forests and over breathtaking high routes. Starting in St. Moritz Bad, there is a fitness trail and three signposted trails with information boards on proper technique or coordination training as well as the popular 4.3 km long lake lap. The soft jogging track at 2,500 metres above sea level near Corviglia can be used for additional high altitude stimulus.

Weight training
Weight rooms with the latest equipment, including a weight room specifically for elite athletes. Weight machines, free weights, spinning, cross trainers and treadmills.

Rowing and canoeing
On the Silvaplana Lake and the Lake St. Moritz. Marked courses of different lengths.

Sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing
On the Silvaplana Lake and the Lake St. Moritz. Sailing school and club in St. Moritz. Windsurfing and kite surfing schools at Silvaplana Lake.

Road cycling
The charming Engadine valley stretches over a length of more than 80 km providing an extensive road and bicycle path network that offer both climbing passes and riding loops. The roads are in a good condition with only light traffic on most of the roads.

Mountain biking
Wide range of mountain bike trails for all levels. Bike transport available at some mountain railways. Numerous rental and service stations. Guided tours and a wide assortment of maps are also available as well as GPS routes.

Tennis and squash

Tennis and squash centre: seven tennis courts, including four indoor courts and two squash courts. Tennis school with experienced teachers, shop, restaurant and indoor golf range in winter.

Modern shooting range. 300-metre level for air rifle. 25m and 50m for pistol shooters.

Martial arts
Budo room with about 100 square metres of judo mats at the ice arena offers perfect conditions for training Far Eastern martial arts.

Gymnasiums for team sports
Limited offer of sub-dividable gymnasiums of various sizes (St. Moritz double, Celerina double, Samedan triplex).

Mountaineering and climbing
Various climbing routes, paradise for mountaineers. Guided tours with certified mountain guides. Two fixed aid climbs and a rope park with different levels of difficulty.

Indoor swimming pool in Pontresina with 25m pool, outdoor pool and spa. Lane reservation for groups available. Opening of the new indoor swimming pool centre in St. Moritz: 1 July 2014.

Therapeutic spa
Medical Therapy Centre and Spa St. Moritz: Combining latest medical science with the benefits of traditional spa culture.

Medical care
Training Centre Gut. Performance diagnostic, various assessments, latest equipment, close collaboration with elite athletes. Most up-to-date medical, orthopaedic and traumatological division, including physiotherapy and medical training therapy.

Alpine skiing
World-famous training and competition centre. Numerous homologated training and competition slopes. Host of the FIS Ski World Championships 2003 and 2017.

Cross-country skiing
More than 200 km of permanently maintained cross-country trails, some homologated for competitions. Engadine Skimarathon course over the frozen lakes of the Upper Engadine.

Ski jumping
60m, 30m and 15m ski jumps for training and competition. Construction of the new 120m plant is in the planning process.

Bobsleigh, luge and skeleton
Olympic bobsleigh run St. Moritz-Celerina. The only natural ice bobsleigh track in the world with an additional juniors starting point. 35 World Championships, the next coming up in 2013. Additional legendary ice-run (Cresta Run) for skeleton from St. Moritz to Celerina.

Ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, curling, ice stick shooting
Artificial ice rink from mid-July to mid-April for ice hockey, speed skating (short track) and figure skating. In winter, additional natural ice rink. Also available are facilities for curling and ice stick shooting.
